Description
The present study examines the views of the philosopher Aristotle on the relationship between economics and constitutions. Firstly some important biographical information about the philosopher is mentioned. Its place in the history of economic theory is examined, as perceived by various economists around the world. Then the specific views expressed by the philosopher on economic issues are analysed followed by his theory about constitutions. His economic and political views are correlated in order to recognize the commonalities and contradictions between them. The last part of the study presents his views on slavery, a social phenomenon of the time that had both a political and an economic dimension. The conclusions of the study are presented in the last chapter.
