Description

Entrepreneurship can take two main forms: starting a new business and intrapreneurship, i.e. the expansion of an existing private, public or mixed ownership business. As a process, entrepreneurship can be divided into the following four stages:

Conception of the business idea: The conception of the business idea is the starting point in the process of entrepreneurship. The key ingredients for the success of a business idea are to be legal, innovative, profitable, socially useful and to ensure the personal interest of the entrepreneur for a long time.

New business design: In the design phase the young entrepreneur captures in a business plan all the information about the start-up and operation of the new business, such as the industry in which it will operate, the products and services it will offer, the legal form , the site  location etc.

Implementation of the business plan: The third phase of entrepreneurship concerns the implementation of the business plan, i.e. the transformation of the business idea into a new business. It includes the steps for starting a business, such as finding financing, choosing a legal form and starting procedures.

Operation of the new business: The last stage of entrepreneurship includes the actions taken by the entrepreneur to ensure the viability and profitability of his business, such as strategy planning, production management, human resource management, marketing, financial management etc.

This book is designed to cover these four stages through its chapters. The supply of business ideas is done through the presentation of examples, business scenarios and true case studies. Business planning is simplified through the presentation of the detailed structure of a business plan-guide for each new business idea. For the implementation of the business plan, the legal start-up procedures and the available sources of financing are analysed. Finally, for the operation of the company, all related issues are analysed, i.e. strategy, production management, human resource management, marketing, financial management and internationalization.

Therefore this book is addressed to various categories of readers, such as:

- students wishing to be educated on entrepreneurship issues

- graduates of technical or vocational training interested in starting their own business

- executives of private, public or joint ventures interested in designing and implementing new business steps

- anyone else interested in learning about entrepreneurship issues.
